Nissan’s Rogue Rides to Top of Most-Seen Ads Chart

Set to music by Beck, it shows how a young dude, eagerly driving to meet a date, takes advantage of Nissan’s special safety features.

Nissan heads up this week’s rankings of most-viewed automotive commercials, provided to WardsAuto by iSpot.tv, with a new spot promoting the ’17 Nissan Rogue Sport.

Set to music by Beck, it shows how a young dude, eagerly driving to meet a date, takes advantage of Nissan’s special features, including automatic emergency braking, all-wheel drive and an around-view monitor.

An ad from Chevrolet that was previously in fifth place moves up to No.2. The brand touts its 2-year-running J.D. Power dependability awards for cars, trucks and SUVs, and lets viewers know that for a limited time they can get a discounted lease on the ’17 Malibu LT.

Notably, the Chevy ad has the best iSpot Attention Index (118) in our ranking, getting 18% fewer interruptions than the average auto ad (interruptions include changing the channel, pulling up the guide, fast-forwarding or turning off the TV).

In third place, Jeep celebrates the belief the end of the road is “where the real fun begins, and that adventure is never out of reach.” This commercial features the Imagine Dragons song “Believer” and showcases off-road adventures enabled by the Grand Cherokee. For a limited time, customers can get $500 bonus cash on most ’17 vehicles.

At No.4, Ram aims to carry on great American traditions with its trucks, which it says are “proven to last,” while Hyundai rounds out the ranking at No.5 with its enduring “Sweet Caroline” commercial that’s begging for a singalong.
